Joe was introduced to the concept of bodywork and Esalen massage as an extended student at the Esalen institute in 2016. Two years later, he had finished his training and was a licensed massage therapist and always knew that he would return to become a certified Esalen massage practitioner. This style and modality has informed his work from the very beginning so Joe feels that he has been living and practicing the Esalen style for far longer.
